1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "Terms") govern the use of the mobile application Clip-PDF and its associated web services.

2. Subject Matter of Contract

Clip-PDF is a comprehensive PDF Power Tools application with the following features:

Clip-PDF operates on a freemium model:

• Free Version: With limited actions
• Video Ads: Free +20 actions by watching short video advertisements
• Full Version: One-time payment of 2.99€ – unlimited features, no ads

3. Registration and User Account

The use of Clip-PDF is generally possible without registration. For certain premium features and to save preferences, registration may be required.

When registering, you commit to providing truthful information. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password and account data. You are fully liable for all activities under your account.

4. Service Description

4.1 Free Version

The free version includes an action system. New users receive 10 free actions to start. After these are used up, additional actions can be earned by watching video ads or unlocked through purchasing the full version.

4.2 Freemium Video Ads

Users of the free version can watch short video advertisements to earn +20 additional actions per feature. This enables free access to all PDF features without financial costs.

4.3 Full Version

4.4 Local Processing

All PDF processing is performed exclusively on the user's device. Your files are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. This ensures maximum data security and privacy.

5. Pricing and Payment

The full version of Clip-PDF costs 2.99€ as a one-time payment.

• Payments are processed via App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
• No subscription model: You pay once and receive the full version permanently
• Prices are in Euros (€) and include VAT (where applicable)
• Additional payment terms from the app stores can be found in their respective terms of service

6. Usage Rights and Obligations

6.1 Granted Rights

We grant you the right to use Clip-PDF for personal and business purposes. Using Clip-PDF to process your own documents is permitted.

6.2 Prohibited Uses

You may not use Clip-PDF to:

• Hack, crack, or bypass security measures
• Create or distribute illegal or harmful content
• Offer or distribute the app without authorization (other than as a licensed app)
• Perform reverse engineering or decompilation
• Process data in bulk without permission
• Process copyrighted content of third parties without authorization

6.3 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Backing up your documents (local backups)
• Complying with all applicable laws
• Using the app correctly in accordance with these Terms
• Obtaining consent from third parties if their data is processed in documents

7. Privacy

The processing of your personal data is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please read it carefully.

Locally Processed Data: Since all PDF processing occurs locally, your documents are not transmitted to our servers.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 No Guarantee for Conversion Accuracy

We cannot guarantee absolute accuracy in PDF file conversion. Depending on the complexity and format of PDF documents, minor deviations may occur. It is your responsibility to verify converted files.

8.2 Local Processing – User Responsibility

Since all processing occurs locally, you are responsible for:

• Regular backups of your documents
• Protecting your device against malware and loss
• Protecting against data leaks at the device level

8.3 Limitation of Liability

LKS E-Commerce GmbH is not liable for:

• Data loss or file corruption
• Service interruptions, errors, or downtime
• Incompatibility with certain devices or operating systems
• Consequential damages from the use or non-use of the app
• Inaccurate conversions or edits
• Security breaches at the device level (not processed on our servers)

8.4 Warranty Disclaimer

Clip-PDF is provided "as-is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app is error-free, reliable, or suitable for any particular purpose.

9. Termination

You may stop using Clip-PDF at any time by uninstalling the app.

We reserve the right to terminate access to the app if you violate these Terms or use the app for illegal or harmful purposes.

Free and Paid Versions: When using the free version, there are no cancellation periods. The full version is purchased once and cannot be "cancelled" – however, you may stop using it at any time.

10. Changes to Terms

We may change these Terms at any time. We will notify you of changes through an in-app notification or email. Continued use of the app after notification constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.

11. Final Provisions

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Wuppertal.

11.2 Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms becomes invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid. The invalid provision shall be replaced by an appropriate valid provision that achieves the original purpose.

11.3 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Imprint, constitute the entire agreement between you and Clip-PDF.
